Dear Friends,
Sutra Foundation in association with the Tin Alley bring to The Wood Factory (Ipoh), An Invitation to Odissi, a new Sutra production which recently wowed Chennai and New Delhi audiences.
An Invitation to Odissi takes the audience through Sutraโs signature Odissi repertoire and is performed by four of Sutraโs principal dancers, Geethika Sree, Tan Mei Mei, Harenthiran and Vickneshwaran along with Datuk Ramli Ibrahim as the Sutradhara who will introduce and unfold the essence of the works.
Those fortunate to witness Sutraโs recent spectacular production Jaya Ram at The Wood Factory may want to repeat their experience with something different. Indeed, we would be equally delighted with the introduction of new friends to attend this unique dance-theatre experience at a magical venue that many in Ipoh are not even aware of.
Come and watch how the four dancers shine with authentic brilliance dedicating their art to the legacy of the great Odissi maestro, Guru Debaprasad Das, whom An Invitation to Odissi was inspired by.
Come early, to The Wood Factory and partake in a total โrasaโ experience with the cuisine offered by their kitchen and book early to avoid disappointment! Donโt miss Sutraโs return to The Wood Factory.
Sutra
