Sutra’s Classic and Timeless Journey
For more than 40 years, with an unblemished track record, Sutra has built a veritable bridge between diverse cultures through its wide range of audacious, brilliant, and impeccably designed visual and performing arts programmes. Sutra espouses cultural diversity and, through its trans-global and trans-cultural endeavours, has fostered a unique Malaysian and international following eager to be part of the Sutra journey.
Sutra believes that art and culture are vital to the human development index. On and off the stage, Sutra represents inclusivity and the meaningful bonds that soft cultural diplomacy cultivates.
Sutra Foundation is led by its founder, Datuk Ramli Ibrahim. An incandescent Malaysian dance icon, Ramli ensures that every detail of a production—from artistic talent, sets, costumes, and lighting to graphics—is executed to perfection. Through a wide range of creative endeavours spanning performance, teaching, and exhibitions, Ramli injects sophistication, elegance, and style into every aspect of his work, sustaining the role of artists as a source of creative inspiration for the nation.
