Two of our senior dancer-teachers Tan Mei Mei and Nishah Govind were appointed as judges for the competition. The final dinner night at the HGH Convention Centre (Sentul) was a glittering multi-cultural affair.

Right from the start after our National Anthem Negaraku and that of China was played, the night celebrated the multi-culturalism of which Malaysia Truly Asia is known for and should be proud of!

Guests was then regaled , one after another, with spectacular performances and sumptuous Chinese cuisine. Sutra’s Odissi homage to Surya (The Sun) performed by Geethika Sree, Tan Mei Mei, Harenthiran and Vickneswaran was most appreciated.

The Malaysian Chinese Cultural Associations presented festive Chinese Drumming, dramatic Acrobatic Dragon and Lion dances. The Borneo Cultural Dance came next depicting the Warrior Dance culminated with the bamboo dance which drew public participation especially from children, in droves on the stage.

It was a night of joyous merriment especially with the last spectacular Lion Dance which brought the night’s entertainment to an end with a heightened crescendo.
