This year, Sutra continues KamaRia Under the Stars series with an intimate season celebrating some of India’s most outstanding male dancers, performed in the unique ambience of Sutra House.
Our next guest is Pritam Das — an exceptional Bharatanatyam artist whose performances linger in the memory long after the final note fades.
Pritam is that rare dancer who combines impeccable technique with extraordinary emotional depth. His artistry flows effortlessly between strength and tenderness, masculinity and femininity, the earthly and the divine. In one fleeting moment he is the vulnerable Sita; in the next, the formidable Ravana. He transforms seamlessly from a whispering tendril in the breeze to a serpent charged with primal energy.
There is an unmistakable magic about Pritam’s presence on stage. His expressive fluidity, intelligence and innate sense of rasa have earned him acclaim as one of the most compelling Bharatanatyam dancers of his generation.
