Friends,

Radha Krishna, The Epiphany, is a visual art exhibition by students & tutors of Play & Paint Art Studio (Klang), directed by founder, Priya Yogi together with artist, Antonio Lopez.

This is the second time the studio has featured its works at Sutra Galley. At the same time the effort represents Sutra Foundation’s initiative to cultivate in Klang, the appreciation of the interconnectedness of visual art with dance.

It was a great idea for Priya Yogi to establish a sister visual arts studio alongside a dance institute, Raas Leela Performing Arts. The exhibition not only takes its cue from Sutra’s recent Odissi production, Radhe! Radhe! in Klang but also, is able to take its inspiration from the dancers of Raas Leela, themselves.

Viewers will experience at the launch, a performance of Odissi from the young aspiring dancers of Klang as well as new Odissi talents from Sutra Academy.

After the exhibition launch, there will also be in the next two days, studio performances of Odissi by the Klang student-dancers at Sutra.

For those who had experienced the Klang’s exhibition and performance at Sutra last year, this is a good time to discover how well the artists, both the visual and dancers, have developed since last year, augering well the grooming of future artists for Klang.
